I'm a designer and artist living in the Bay Area. I'm inspired by California’s natural beauty and Japan’s culture and aesthetic values.

Sun to Sea is a small, woman-owned design studio. Our services include interior design, branding, and digital product design with a shop offering handmade goods and modern art illustrations.

I have a 20 year career spanning graphic design, product design, and have recently transitioned into interior design. My journey in the creative realm has been marked by a passion for crafting products and spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

I truly enjoy designing simple, functional spaces, objects, and experiences that bring happiness to people. Our shop is inspired by California and Japan resulting in a simple, imperfect, and warm collection of handmade ceramics, prints, and other goods.

About the brand

The brand is inspired by California and a love for Japan and its aesthetic and culture. They have natural geographical similarities and distinct styles, inspiring a blend of the two aesthetics in both ceramic and illustrated forms resulting in a simple, imperfect, and warm collection.

The name Sun to Sea embodies nature and connection. California is known for its natural beauty and sunsets over the Pacific Ocean which it shares with Japan. To us, this name naturally represents the blending of both landscapes and aesthetics.

“Nothing that exists is without imperfections. When we look really closely at things we see flaws. Every craftsman know the limits of perfection: the imperfections glare back.”
